Spring Valley packs more than 215,000 people into the southwest valley just west of the Strip — apartment-heavy arterials, the Chinatown district along Spring Mountain Road at its northern edge, and a constant tide of Strip workers commuting through. It's one of Nevada's largest communities, yet it isn't a city at all. Our office on S. Maryland Parkway is 8–12 miles east — about 15–25 minutes via Flamingo or Desert Inn — and we've handled injury and criminal cases from every corner of it.
Spring Valley's injury numbers are hard to ignore. Flamingo & Rainbow was LVMPD's most dangerous intersection in Las Vegas, with 26 crashes in just the first half of 2025 — high pedestrian activity and red-light running are the recurring culprits, and earlier data logged 85 crashes there in 2019 alone, with 21 injuries and a death. The Flamingo Road corridor as a whole ranks among the valley's most dangerous, Spring Valley posted some of the highest area crash counts in early 2025, and Spring Mountain, Jones, Durango, and the I-215 Beltway round out the risk map.
Because Spring Valley is an unincorporated town, there is no Spring Valley city hall, no municipal court, and no Spring Valley police department. LVMPD's Spring Valley Area Command — from its substation on Eldora Avenue — investigates the crashes and makes the arrests, every citation and criminal case goes to Las Vegas Justice Court at the Regional Justice Center downtown, and arrestees are booked at CCDC on Casino Center Boulevard. That routing surprises people constantly. We work those courtrooms week in and week out, a few blocks from our office.
